Diver deep underwater

Deep Diver

Course fees: $509 plus online academics

From shipwrecks to wall dives, sometimes you just have to dive a little deeper. Whatever your reason for wanting to dive beyond the limits of your basic certification, let one of the professional instructors at Jupiter Dive Center teach you the techniques that make recreational deep diving safe and fun.

Deep diving allows divers to see or experience something they can’t do in shallower waters. Maybe it’s a desire to explore a wreck resting in ninety feet. Perhaps it’s to dip a little lower on a ledge or a wall to capture the perfect photograph. It could be to retrieve a piece of equipment that was dropped in the sand. It might just be to take full advantage of the drift diving off the Treasure Coast. Plus, it’s just plain fun. The key to deep diving is knowing how to navigate recreational depths safely.

Water absorbs light, so the dives will be a little darker. The pressure will be a bit greater. This course teaches students about no-decompression limits, safety stops, and how depth affects equipment choices. Students will also discuss the physics and physiology for deep divers, and what to do in the event of an emergency.
