What do YOU want to explore? All divers will learn about deep diving\, underwater navigation\, and buoyancy control. After that\, two additional adventure topics are chosen in collaboration with your instructor! Some of the areas you may want to consider include boat diving\, digital underwater imaging\, drift diving\, fish identification\, wreck diving\, and more! \nWhat to Expect  \nWhat to expect depends on the adventures you choose\, but plan on five dives: a combination of boat charters and/or shore dives. The academic portion of this course is completed online and must be finished prior to the dives. \nWhat Do You Need?  \nAgain\, this depends on the adventure dives. For example\, underwater photography requires a camera. Other adventure dives may have specific equipment requirements as well. Jupiter Dive Center is proud to offer an exclusive Goliath Grouper Specialty course where you will learn all about these amazing behemoths of the ocean. \nWhat to Expect \nYou hear them first\, a distinctive bark that reverberates throughout your body. Then they come into view\, and you can hardly believe your eyes as you gaze upon an aggregation of goliath groupers. The offshore reefs of Jupiter\, Florida\, host a year-round population of goliath groupers. In late summer\, these protected species gather to spawn. During peak season\, you can expect to see sixty or more of these gentle giants congregated along the Jupiter Wreck Trek. \nThis course starts in the classroom\, where students will learn about goliath grouper identification\, habitat\, range\, diet\, and role in the marine ecosystem. Following the presentation\, the students will participate in two guided dives where divers will focus on putting their newfound knowledge to use. Advanced Open Water Diver encourages you to continue to develop your abilities and introduces you to new underwater adventures. Let Jupiter Dive Center expand your underwater horizons! \nThis class is all about you. What do YOU want to explore? All divers will learn about deep diving\, underwater navigation\, and buoyancy control. After that\, two additional adventure topics are chosen in collaboration with your instructor! Some of the areas you may want to consider include boat diving\, digital underwater imaging\, drift diving\, fish identification\, wreck diving\, and more! \nWhat to Expect  \nWhat to expect depends on the adventures you choose\, but plan on five dives: a combination of boat charters and/or shore dives. The academic portion of this course is completed online and must be finished prior to the dives. \nWhat Do You Need?  \nAgain\, this depends on the adventure dives. For example\, underwater photography requires a camera. Other adventure dives may have specific equipment requirements as well. But don’t worry\, the instructor will let you know exactly what you’ll need. That said\, all Jupiter Dive Center boat charters are drift dives\, and every diver\, regardless of selected specialties\, must have their own surface marker buoy and a dive computer. \nThe Details \n\nPrerequisites: Every student must be Open Water and Nitrox certified and present both of their certification cards at check-in.\nThis course requires a minimum of two students.\nStudents will initially meet with their instructor at Jupiter Dive Center.\nGear and tanks are not included. All students must have a surface marker buoy\, a computer\, a compass\, a knife/cutting device\, a slate\, and a reel. Additional equipment requirements may be necessary and will be discussed when the final adventure dives are chosen.\n\nCan’t make the above course? No problem! Jupiter Dive Center offers a new course every three weeks. One is certain to fit your schedule! If you need a customized schedule\, we can plan a Your Way class where you select specific dates that work best for you. There is an additional fee of $130 for a ‘Your Way’ class. DESCRIPTION:Learn to dive with Jupiter Dive Center! Start your adventure with us. \nDecember 12\,13\, and 21 \nOpen Water Scuba Certification Course \nCourse fees: $609\, plus online academics \nIt all starts with an Open Water Certification Course. Experience the beauty for yourself in the ocean of Jupiter\, Florida. See marine animals in their natural environment. Explore shipwrecks. Deep or shallow\, join the millions of people across the globe who have learned to scuba dive.  \nIt is easy. After completing the e-learning\, you will spend three partial days developing confined water and open water scuba diver skills. Class size is limited to three to eight students to ensure plenty of attention from the instructor. All you need is your own mask\, snorkel\, fins\, equipment bag\, logbook –and of course\, your sense of adventure! \nOpen Water Certification Course includes- Dive computer training\, confined water session\, 4 open water scuba dives\, and rental equipment (except mask\, snorkel\, fins\, equipment bag\, and logbook). \n~$609\, plus online academics.  \nOnline academics \nAfter registering for your class with Jupiter Dive Center\, you will need to enroll in your e-learning course to complete the academics online. This allows you to learn at your own pace and at the time of your choosing. Please note that the cost of the e-learning course is separate. \nParticipation in the Open Water Group Class (3-8 students) \nOnce your e-learning course is complete\, it is time to learn how to dive! \nSaturday\, Dec 12\, Confined water session. Check in at Jupiter Dive Center at 9:00 am\nSunday\, Dec 13\, Blue Heron Bridge session at 8:30 am\nSaturday\, Dec 19\, Boat dive. Check-in is at the boat at 7:50 am \nCannot make the above course? No problem! Jupiter Dive Center offers a new course every three weeks. One is certain to fit your schedule! If you need a special class schedule\, we can plan a class ‘Your Way’. You pick the dates. There is an additional fee of $200 for a ‘Your Way’ class. You can also schedule a private class for $999.
