The Blue Heron Bridge dive site at Phil Foster Park was named the best dive site in the world(!) in PADI’s Sport Diver magazine in 2013, and since then, it’s only become more popular. Shallow water means plenty of bottom time to explore the site. The diversity of marine life will keep you coming back.
The Bridge, as it’s known to locals, is the premiere shore dive site for underwater photographers, and is a great destination to see marine life not commonly found elsewhere. In addition to the local residents, you never know when a manatee or hammerhead decides to cruise through—again! Topside, the park has easy accessibility, parking, restrooms, showers, and picnic tables.
Octopuses. Batfishes. Spotted eagle rays. Frog fishes. Seahorses. Flying gurnards. Seeing any one of these marine animals on a dive would be an exciting sight. Now imagine encountering them all in one dive. Welcome to Blue Heron Bridge!
