Return And Refund Policy

 Refunds, Terms, and Conditions

At Jupiter Dive Center, we want you to be happy with the gear and services we provide. But returns sometimes happen. Because of the type of gear we sell, and ever-changing safety concerns due to weather, there may be limitations on the return or exchange of items you purchase regardless of your proof of purchase. Below are our policies.

Retail

  • Items purchased must be returned within 7 days of purchase.
    • All returns will be thoroughly inspected and must be in original packaging, unused and in new saleable condition.
    • All labels and tags must still be intact, and the item cannot show any signs of wear or use.
    • You must have an original receipt and the exact method of payment for the return. If payment was made with a credit card, the credit will be applied to the original card.
  • Items returned after 7 days but within 30 days can be returned with a 25% restocking fee.
    • All returns will be thoroughly inspected and must be in original packaging, unused and in new saleable condition.
    • All labels and tags must still be intact, and the item cannot show any signs of wear or use.
    • You must have an original receipt and the exact method of payment for the return. If payment was made with a credit card, the credit will be applied to the original card.
  • Please ask about our mask return exemption.
  • Snorkels are nonreturnable due to health and safety considerations.
  • All reduced-price sale items are final.

Classes

  • Students have one year from the date of purchase to complete their class. Once the year has expired, students will have to re-purchase the course to become certified.
  • If the course does not have the minimum number of students required, you will be moved to a new class or offered the option of the ‘your way course’ rate.
  • Rescheduling fees apply if the student must reschedule a course start date and requests the change within 5 days of the class date.
  • Rescheduling fees apply if you start the course and cannot make the published/agreed upon dates.
  • Occasionally inclement weather or not having the minimum required people to run a charter will occur that requires rescheduling the class. The student will not be charged a rescheduling fee if this occurs.

Charter Reservations

  • Divers must meet the required certifications of the charter they schedule.
  • No refunds or credits are offered for charter reservation cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled departure.
  • Inclement weather – Scuba diving often subjects divers to inclement weather conditions.
    • If the boat leaves the dock and divers complete a dive, and the weather subsequently turns inclement while the boat is at or between dive sites, there is no refund for the price of the charter.
    • If Jupiter Dive Center leaves the dock and then cancels the charter due to inclement weather, JDC will refund the cost of unused rental tanks.
  • Once the boat departs, no refund will be issued if the diver opts not to dive for any reason, including medical issues such as seasickness or being unable to clear their ears.

Charter Trip Cards

  • All charter trip cards have a one-year expiration unless otherwise noted and will not be refunded or extended.
  • The use of Jupiter Dive Center trip cards are for the purchaser or gift recipient and their immediate family to include parents or children.
  • Charter trip card purchases are final; no returns or exchanges.
  • Charter trip cards are non-transferable.

Tank Fill Cards

  • All fill cards have a one-year expiration unless otherwise noted.
  • The use of Jupiter Dive Center fill cards are for the purchaser or gift recipient and their immediate family to include parents or children.
  • Fill card purchases are final; no returns or exchanges will be accepted.
  • All fill cards are non-transferable.

Previously used/Demo gear

  • Used or Demo gear is not eligible for return or refund.

Rental gear- JDC Boat Charters

  • There are no refunds for rental gear rented to use on JDC boat charters unless the charter is canceled, in which case the rental fee will be prorated based on the number of unused tanks.
  • Gear rented for use on a Jupiter Dive Center dive charter is per charter.
  • No refund will be issued if the diver opts not to dive for any reason, including medical issues such as seasickness or being unable to clear their ears.

Rental gear- Off-site

  • There is no refund for off-site rental gear once it leaves the property.
  • Gear rented off site is for a 24-hour period.
    • Unreturned Gear: After the initial 24 hours, unreturned gear will be additionally charged at the daily rate for days 2, 3, and four.
    • If gear is not returned within 5 days of the initial rental, the renter will be responsible for the full retail price of the rental items as well as the 5 day of rental charges.
  • No refund will be issued if the diver opts not to dive for any reason, including medical issues such as seasickness or being unable to clear their ears.

Destination Travel

Dive insurance is required on all Jupiter Dive Center destination group travel.  Jupiter Dive Center strongly recommends travelers obtain trip insurance.

  • Due to the need to pay vendors in advance for organized group travel, there are no refunds offered if a traveler’s plans change or they are unable to accompany the group.
  • If the trip is sold-out and another full-price traveler assumes the canceled reservation, JDC will refund the original client his or her payments with the exception of the original deposit which is forfeit.
  • Please note: JDC accepts payment for travel by check, Zelle, and credit card. Payments made by credit card will incur an additional 4% fee that will not be refunded in any event.
  • Payments must be made according to the published schedule or, if preferred, travelers can opt to request a monthly payment schedule via credit card (incurring the 4% fee).
  • Failure to complete all the required payments will result in the loss of the reservation and all payments will be forfeit.

SCUBAPRO PRODUCTS

As an authorized dealer of SCUBAPRO gear, Jupiter Dive Center acts as a liaison with the dealer. The warranty itself is offered by Scubapro and decisions to replace or refund for their gear is made by Scubapro in accordance with their conditions and terms. Shipping costs, if incurred, are the responsibility of the customer.
