The Sea of Cortez offers a continually changing roll call of marine animals such as mega pods of dolphins, whales, sea lions, vast schools of fish, visiting orcas, and huge aggregations of mobula rays. And on this adventure, a spotter airplane helps ensure that divers see the best of the best!
This 7-night expedition combines iconic dive sites north of La Paz that include La Reyna, Espiritu Santo, San Franciscito, and Las Animas—with additional dives around Coronado, Danzante, and possibly the Carmen Islands in the Loreto National Park!
The Nautilus Belle Amie
Get ready to be spoiled! Topside, the Nautilus Bell Amie is a 135-foot, luxurious, modern boat that was custom-built for divers. Its wide beam gives it more stability than many other liveaboards and its four decks means there is plenty of space to move around. Enjoy the lounge, partially shaded sundeck, and dining room.
The company’s mission is to cater to their guests’ every comfort from offering high-tech communication, email, and internet at sea, to stocking a wide selection of beer, wine, and single malt scotches in the ship’s bar.

Traveling with Dive Gear
Divers have a lot of gear, but knowing what to pack on a dive trip is essential. Weight and size are always a consideration, and Jupiter Dive Center carries select items that are made specifically for travel—from fins to buoyancy compensators.

A word about insurance
There is a difference between dive insurance, which covers the diver, and travel insurance, which covers the trip. We always recommend travel insurance, because while we take care of all the arrangements, occasionally life intrudes and you may need to alter your plans. (Here’s a post that explains more about travel insurance.)
We do require that all divers have DAN dive insurance or similar insurance to cover any dive-related health emergency (and really, DAN insurance is something you should consider as soon as you are certified).
